The Italian ground forces utilised weapons from a variety of manufacturers – all of which all tended to be over-complex and unreliable designs. The most successful and most commonly used machine gun was the Breda M37 8mm air-cooled weapon, captured examples of which were used by the British Special Air Service, mounted on their Jeeps.
