The .303 Vickers machine gun was the cornerstone of Commonwealth direct fire support, providing anti-infantry firepower and defence wherever it was needed. In the jungles of the Far East, where the terrain frequently made transporting heavier weaponry impractical, the Vickers gun would often shoulder the brunt of the fighting in support of Gurkha units.
Representing a Medium Machine Gun team in Bolt Action, the Vickers is an excellent, low-cost cornerstone of the Heavy Weapons Platoon, alongside the Medium Mortar. Perfect for suppressing enemy infantry at range, and lethal against troops in the open, no Gurkha force should be without one.
This kit pairs the plastic British heavy weapons sprue with three characterful Warlord Resin crew, and not only builds the gun team itself, but gives you plenty of extra weaponry that can be combined with the plastic Gurkha sprues to create even more units.
