The diminutive Wiesel (“weasel”) weighs between 2.75 and 4.75 tonnes depending on configuration and is powered by an Audi 5 cylinder inline turbo-diesel engine. The vehicle’s tiny profile and agility makes it difficult to spot on the battlefield. When coupled with the Raytheon improved TOW missile system, it provides strong anti-tank support, especially when fired from concealment during an ambush.
