Russian tanks were produced in vast quantities - 76,827 tanks of all classes were manufactured between 1941 and 1945. The tank produced in greater numbers than any other was the iconic T-34 - arguably the best all-round medium tank of the war. The Russians also used many Lend-Lease vehicles, including British and American tanks. These proved inferior to the Russian's own designs and by the late war most of these had gone, apart from significant numbers of M4A2 Sherman tanks.
