The U.S. Marine Corps LAV-25 (Light Armored Vehicle) is a modular platform used for numerous roles the Marines fielded the LAV-AD in which the primary armament was replaced with a GAU-12 Equalizer 25 mm 5-barreled Gatling cannon. In addition, it was equipped with four FIM-92 Stinger missiles each. This combination provided the Marines with capable defense against helicopters and ground attack aircraft.
